Earl Laurie has had a prolific career at AirBoss Defense, world leader in the manufacture of individual personal protective equipment, where he acted as President for 11 years. He oversaw operations and product developments in Quebec, Ontario and Vermont (USA). Mr. Laurie has worked closely throughout his career with government procurement and development agencies in Canada, the US and abroad, successfully completing export projects to more than 40 countries.
He obtained his Bachelors in Business Administration, major in Entrepreneurship, from Bishop’s University in 1989. Earl is a native of Granby, having established his family in the Eastern Townships and becoming a resident of Bromont in 2007. He has been highly engaged within the Bromont community, conceiving and establishing AirBoss Defense’s state of the art Research and Development centre in Bromont’s Scientific Park. Driven by his ecological values, he is also one of the cofounders of the “Ferme de la colline du chêne”, an organic vegetable farm cooperative located on an heritage site.
Knowledgeable and experienced in technology transfers, complex long cycle product developments and operational best practices, Mr. Laurie has successfully developed, industrialized and commercialized numerous game changing products for the defence and security markets.
Earl is now focused on using his experience and contacts to help create jobs and implement sustainable growth strategies for the local economy.
