The Bromont Economic Development Corporation (Société de développement économique de Bromont – SODEB) develops its activities from an overall innovations perspective. The group focuses on a strategic approach in developing its industrial sector. The SODEB makes every effort to see the Bromont Science Park become a dynamic living environment with a great added value while meeting the requirements of its coveted industrial clusters. The SODEB wants to offer its many industrial residents all the services corresponding to their needs.
To develop and promote the Town of Bromont by fostering and bringing together cutting-edge industries geared towards research and innovation within the Bromont Science Park.
To have the Bromont Science Park become THE national reference in Canada for microelectronics, aerospace and advance manufacturing activities.
The Bromont Economic Development Corporation (SODEB) has as its main mandate the economic development of the city and more particularly in the industrial and technological fields. It receives a significant portion of its funding from the City of Bromont.
SODEB manages, among other things, the Bromont Science Park and Pacific Street Industrial Park lands and conducts positioning studies on our technology clusters: aerospace, microelectronics and advanced manufacturing. His role also extends to strategic planning, the coordination of expertise to support startups, canvassing, the granting of specialized mandates in addition to making recommendations to the city council.
The residents of both parks constitute the SOBED’s main clientele. It also endeavours to solicit national and foreign industries which activities can be linked to its microelectronics, aerospace and advanced manufacturing niches and could possibly choose to establish in the Bromont Science Park. The SOBED must also report back to Bromont’s municipal council concerning its accomplishments according to the mandate it was given.
