The Bromont Science Park was established to encourage the grouping of companies working in high-technology sectors committed to research and innovation, by supporting their establishment and their development in microelectronic, aerospace and advanced manufacturing niches. Here, we can find all the main actors, notably in the design and construction of semiconductors, hybrid and integrated circuits, connectors and electronic modules.
A recognized science park, the Bromont Science Park benefits from a highly respected credibility due to the presence of world leaders such as IBM, GE Aviation and Teledyne Dalsa, and also for its four research centres and an industrial incubator. A highly qualified workforce, a complete and reliable infrastructure network, and access to financial and fiscal advantages; all contribute to the Bromont Science Park’s power of attraction. It also offers a satellite site, Pacifique Park, a site geared towards the manufacturing and construction sectors.
Secteur en plein essor du fait des avancées technologiques continues, la microélectronique voit nombre des innovations émergeant du Parc scientifique Bromont passer avec succès à la phase de commercialisation, grâce notamment à IBM et à Teledyne Dalsa et aux recherches du Centre de collaboration MiQro Innovation (C2MI).
Le secteur aérospatial du Parc scientifique Bromont gravite autour de GE Aviation, un leader dans la fabrication de turboréacteurs et de turbopropulseurs, de composantes et de systèmes intégrés pour avions civils et militaires. D’ailleurs, son centre de recherche en robotique, automatisation et instrumentation se développe aussi dans le Parc scientifique Bromont.
Deux technologies de fabrication de pointe se démarquent nettement au sein des entreprises présentes dans le Parc scientifique Bromont. La robotique avancée, qui permet d’exécuter des tâches dans un environnement semi-structuré en minimisant l’intervention humaine, et la fabrication additive, qui est un processus de construction d’objets à partir d’un modèle 3D.
